Movers

Hassle-free from point A to point B

Whether it’s across the street, across town or across the ocean, moving is a big project. It shouldn’t be referred to as “moving day” – it’s more like “moving week,” “moving month,” or for a less timely reference, “moving mayhem.”

Fortunately there’s a way to curb the craziness and keep the moving process under control, and professional movers are more than willing to take on the burden. But that doesn’t mean you have to settle for the first mover you find in the phone book. Instead, find yourself the very best moving company for your project, no matter how big or how small. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Evaluate your needs. Are you moving one item or many? Will you need help with your packing, or do you have fragile or expensive items that require special care? Determining the type of move you’re shooting for will help you start your search for the right moving company.
  • Plot your route (and your timeline). Depending on where your cargo is heading, you could need to start organizing a move months in advance. International movers require lots of notice for coordinating a move, while local movers can be available in as little as 24 hours.
  • Call around. Getting the best price and the best service from a moving company requires some legwork. Ask for referrals from friends, surf the Web or call as many companies as you can to get price guides and free quotes on your moving needs.

Movers Working for You

It’s human nature to grow attached to the items we possess, and as such, moving can be an emotional experience. The best moving companies recognize the importance of great customer service and attention to detail. Look for a company who offers door-to-door service, will work with you on coordinating pick-up and drop-off times, and who will help you navigate through the complicated paperwork involved in an interstate or international move.

You’ll also want to find a company who treats your objects as if they were their own. Make sure your movers have the best equipment to pack, load and transport your cargo, so it gets from point A to point B in perfect condition.

Specialized Movers

It’s common for companies to specialize in specific types of goods, and provide customized care when it comes to moving them. Here are just a few specialized movers you can use:

  • International Movers. If you’re heading overseas, they have the skills to make the transition easier.
  • Car Movers. Car shipping requires special attention, so make sure you put your wheels in the hands of a professional – one who will care for them as if they were their own!
  • Piano Movers. Often a sentimental item, pianos require special transportation care. Specialists in this area will ensure your piano arrives safe and sound.
  • Furniture Movers. Whether it’s a single sofa or an entire house full of furniture, make sure your pieces arrive in their new home undamaged.
  • House Movers. It may be rare to move an entire house, but if you’re looking to do it, you only want the best in the business. Find a company with a history of successful moves.

This was the first time I shipped a motorcycle so I was a little leary about who to ship it thru. I talked in length to Jeff Crook about shipping the bike which was very helpful. When the bike was taken to the shipping point the seller said the place was immaculate Spotlessly clean. When I picked the bike up same thing. Received motorcycle in same condition as seller described properly palletized , strapped down and covered properly. If I ever ship a bike again I would definitely go thru Freight Brokers again. Very professional and kept you updated when the bike shipped and arrived. Also the prices were a difference of night and day. I do not think I could have gotten a better deal. Thanks so much for being so professional. Sincerely Paul Mushall
